Let's Talk" is a social/digital ad campaign aimed at empowering girls in the region to openly discuss their periods and bodies, despite the taboo surrounding this topic. By confronting social challenges, we approach the subject in an engaging manner to educate girls that menstruation, body, and mind are entirely normal.

A period is neither a crutch nor is it a crown.
It is what it is.
Something that happens to all of us, once every month. There’s nothing more natural. Then, it’s only natural to talk about it, isn’t it? We, as Nana, have championed the #LiveFearless philosophy. Now, we encourage our audience to fearlessly open up about their period.
We do this by:
-
Addressing the need to have the conversation
-
Normalizing the conversion
-
Owning #Period
Addressing the need to have the conversation

IT’S TIME WE SAID #PERIOD
Period pains. Feminine hygiene brands either paint women as brave warriors or as barbie dolls who live in a world made of marshmallows, rainbows and teddy bears.
IT’S ABOUT TIME we stopped treating periods as something out of the ordinary – which is an important step in getting our audience to actually start talking about it and, resultantly, owning the word #PERIOD.
How do we do this?
In this film, we take on ‘period pains’: things that are traditionally perceived as making your period a challenge and something ‘women have to deal with and overcome’.
However, we do this with a twist – delivering a bigger message that will help us get people talking about it.

What would you tell your younger self?
This results in a part emotional, part humourous and completely relatable video that not just entertains our audience but also educates younger members and shares an important message: it’s all normal, and it’s all going to be okay. #Period
Examples:
• Don’t worry if you get it early–the other girls will catch up, so don’t hide it
• Go drink that lemonade, girl!
• It’s going to hurt, but you’ll be fine
